Hi r/pmp, My goal was to take the exam last year around November, but some unprecedented good things happened in my life and had to stop preparing for the exam. Materials I were using to prepare were the Joseph Phillips course, the Rita's 9th edition book and Vargas Youtube videos. A few weeks before the test, I was planning on buying the Prepcast to finalize my preparation. Since I wasn't able to take the exam before it changed, I will start preparing again for the new exam version. Can I still use the material I have purchased to prepare for the new exam and incorporate some new material to cover the agile/hybrid approaches? I want to avoid having to buy more material if I already have some. TIA
I'm taking a course on Udemy for my 35 contact hours and am wondering whether it'll actually qualify? It's called "PMP Exam 35 Contact Hours Course: Jan 2021 Updates & Agile". It was only $15 with coupon code (normally $20), so I'm a bit skeptical of its legitimacy since the other courses on Udemy are much more expensive. Edit: Instructor's name is Shadi Al Shaer level 1 I'm taking the Udemy PMP Exam Prep Seminar by Joseph Philips. Key considerations for effective project cost management and control Accurate cost estimation – It is extremely important to come up with accurate cost estimation. Accurate cost estimation will require detailed and accurate resource estimation for each activity in the project scope. Knowing the cost of each resource from trusted source is also equally important. Cost for manpower, materials and machines must be factored while making cost estimation. Other cost elements such risk response cost, contingency reserves to handle the perceived risks must be duly added in the project cost estimates. Apart from this, additional cost factors such as inflation, cost of financing, overheads, quality management and team motivation related costs should also be added to make the cost estimates robust and practical, not leaving any of the details and aspects of the project unaccounted. Preparing a funding requirement plan – Integrating the cost estimates and the project schedule, the team needs to accurately prepare the cumulative expenditure plan which will enable the management to understand the funding requirements at different junctures of the project so that they can arrange for funds accordingly.
